THE RIGHT OUTFIT FOR THE RIGHT OCCASION

Yesterday I had a  meeting with an important manager, and my big confusion was... how to dress for this occasion that you can't dress that crazy or that rocker, it needs to be a very classy and conservative look. Well at least it's that image that i wanted to give, but I didnt want to look boring neither.
In such a  looong time that I wasn't spending that long thinking inside of  my closet-what the hell do i wear for this meeting?, sometimes can be really frustrating.

So i made it simple, blue jeans never fail in any occasion and decided to go with a pretty vintage blouse with white spots and laced in the top of the sleeves, a black blazer and a simple black purse .

Black blazer by Armani Exchange, blue jeans by Levi's, blouse by vintage, black purse by Carmen Steffens

Finally I felt really good and comfortable and the meeting went really good, just crossing fingers I can start working with him so he can guide me in my acting career.

Here are four simple rules to feel confident and will guarantee a  great impression.

1. Be Smart
It is very important to look smart when attending a meeting, even if you are not required to wear a suit. If you are required to wear a suit, then men should wear a tie as it pulls the suit together formally. Remember that dressing well gives an impression of respect to your colleagues.
In many industries your presentation to clients is crucial so it is important, particularly in interviews, that your outfit is clean and well presented. Make sure your shoes are not dirty and be careful that there are no marks on your clothes or loose threads hanging from seams. This may appear sloppy and it is possible that others may not take you seriously.
2. Be Simple
Simplicity is genius and crucial when deciding what to wear to a meeting. If your clothes are too busy or loud it will detract from you and others may not be able to concentrate on what you have to say.
A white shirt should always be a wardrobe staple for men and women as it can be dressed up or down, depending on the tone of the meeting. A clean, crisp white shirt will look good with a smart suit and tie but also tucked into jeans.
3. Be Comfortable
If you are uncomfortable in the clothes you are wearing it is quite likely that you will not be able to concentrate fully in the meeting. It is important to wear something that makes you feel confident. So choose something well fitting i.e. not too tight, too short or too revealing.
4. Be Yourself
The famous British broadcaster Michael Parkinson said, ‘confidence has a lot to do with interviewing’ and this is true of any meeting. Your attire plays a supporting role to your character, so wear something that compliments your personality rather than over taking it. You should speak for yourself and not let your clothes speaks for you.
So those are four simple rules of thumb to help with any wardrobe queries you may have. The most important thing is to dress appropriately as you are ultimately there to do business. So if in doubt try and gauge the tone of the meeting before hand.

STILA RUNWAY SHOW

What I like the most of modeling is the transformation that u can have for each job, and the make up is a key for that. One day a super classy with very sexy make up ( brown and natural tones in the eyes and red lips) the other one a super trashy very rocker style ( smoky eyes and pale lips), the last one is my favorite.

MY DESIGN
This runway show was for Stila a make-up and beauty line, that i love specially the foundation and the lip gloss is amazing, the packaging is very fun too. This year was a very couture, very crazy and artistic theme. In each model they did a completely different make-up using feathers and different drawings and designs that looked like a  tattoo, like mine, were like leaves coming out of my eye was fun but weird the feeling that they are drawing your face. The make up artist was amazing cause she didn't take alot of time and did a  great job.
Lets talk about the clothes now. Cause the make-up was very buzzy the clothes were classy and elegant dresses. Mine was a black sequence dress from DKNY.

Talking about make-up daily i always use natural colors, brown and gold during the day and illuminating pigment from Mac in the t- area (forehead, nose and chin) for  a very natural and shiny skin. If i go out I choose as i mentioned before smoky eyes with a lot of mascara and pale color lips.

LOVIN' THE RED!!!

I must admit that I'm a very obsessive person- when something is on my mind there is nothing  that will take it out. This happens, for example, with certain types of food. I can be eating sushi for months or just seafood for years, and then I'll get sooo tired of it, finally change it and start eating pasta.
And when it comes to fashion it's the same thing.  I love the rock-style look (that's my favorite). Alot of greys and blacks make up my wardrobe. Right now I'm obsessed with the color red. I need that red passion in my daily look. Today I realized from looking at my closet that my last three purchases were a pair of red jeans, a red dress and a red blazer!!.

Red blazer from Zara, black shorts from Urban Outfitters.

Rock-style look: Grey t-shirt from Urban Outfitters, grey Levi's shorts, black boots from Free People.

THE SLAVERY NBA FASHION SHOE

The first thing i 've done today in the morning was read  the news, the first post that really called my attention was this new NBA shoe line that was going to be released in August 2012 designed by Jeremy Scott.
Is this fashion?imagination? creativity? I really don't think so .... insanity is everywhere nowadays and more in fashion, i think designers go too far with their "imagination" sometimes. Thank god people really sabotaged this design and criticized really bad ( no wonder why) before it was released in the market . Adidas canceled the release of the "slavery fashion shoe" FOR GOOD. With chains around the ankle  reminding people such an awful period we lived.... anything but aesthetic, fashion and beautiful!
Good luck with the next one!!!

NAMASTE

Today finally i started my routine of yoga, when i was in Asia and in NY i was doing bikram yoga every day and i was feeling balanced and in peace i could control my mind much easier and take out all the bad and negative thoughts, today going back to the old routine after 6 months made me feel a little bit frustrated cause i was feeling so unbalanced, and stiff i couldent concentrate in the positions, i know it will take time and pacience to get that amazing feeling again. On saturday i was in a  bikini photoshooting and in almost all the photos i had to be standing in tip toes was so hard to keep the balance, made me so aware how important is for modeling the posture the balance and transforming the stressful atmosphere that lingeres in the air into a  tranquil environment.
