THE BEAUTY OF HAIR

I would like to dedicate this post to the beauty of hair. How important is for woman to have  a  shiny and healthy hair?. I know that for most of all woman their hair its everything. It gives you a  radience look , a  feminine beauty and a youth look, if you have it long and healthy. For me it's the reflection of your health. How is your daily diet, how many nutrients you consume day by day. A balanced diet rich in calcium, iron, zinc and protein and a  proactive lifestyle are two major factors that directly influence the health of your hair.

Sometimes is hard to keep a healthy hair specially for models, cause in every photo shoot and runways the constant use of iron and blow dryers makes your hair dry. What i hate the most it's when they tangle your hair so it looks super big with volume and then i have to spend two hours in the shower to brash it.

I always had my hair super long and I really like to take care of my hair, and invest in it. I must admit that genetically all my family has great hair, specially my mother. But I am sure that the few hair tips that I follow and the hair products that I use helps alot, so you can follow it too.

1.- KERASTASE I know that is really expensive and every time i have to pay for it, I find myself in an inner monologue," fifty dolars for a tiny bottle...mmm I could by clothes with that money". But then I buy it and never complain, is really magical. My favourite is the shampoo Bain-Oleo Relax Anti Frizz and once a  week Oleo Relax Nutritive Mask, even if you have it  healthy it really makes your hair smooth and shinier.

3.-APPLY HAIR OIL if you don't wanna spend much money in expensive products you can apply coconut oil or olive oil just if you have very dry hair ,you can sleep overnight with it and shampoo your hair in the morning. If you don't have dry hair apply it just for 20 minutes so it doesn't get too greasy.

2.- WIDE-TOOTHED COMB HAIR Specially when it's wet. Detangle it from the top and work your way very gently to the ends of your hair.

3.- CUT THE ENDS at least once a  month so it grows healthier and faster and you will get rith of the split ends.

4.- USE COLD WATER to rinse your hair it  closes the cuticle and gives a  shinier look.

 5.-DRINK ALOT OF WATER to hydrate your organism. Your skin and hair is gonna look radiant.

Other lines that I really like are Head and Shoulders for every day use, and John Frieda has great products too specially for frizzy hair.

I GOT MY SEPTEMBER ISSUE!!

Yeyyyyyy!!  I got my September Issue of Vogue magazine with 916 pages and Zinc magazine, which are my favorite ones, was really hard to choose which one i'll buy. I know  I'll spend two hours reading 1600 pages counting both magazines, but it's worth it. I will go to my favorite place, Barnes and Nobles of The Grove, order a chai latte in Starbucks and get started.

For people that doesn't know, the September Issue it's the most important of all magazines. Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, Love, W Magazine, Zinc and others. Editors  freak out many months before to dedicate full time  to the September Issue that has many more pages than the regular editions. It's like the beginning of a year in fashion , the fall, the school is starting again in America, so people go shopping for this season.

 All the best campaigns,the best advertisements and the big fight of all time, who is in the cover of the September Issue. To understand better how important is for Fashion I recommend this great Documentary film that I am posting below called "September Issue" about the behind the scenes of the most famous  and agresive Vogue editor Ann Wintour and her staff during the production of September Issue 2007.

The film features appearances of the most recognized people in the fashion industry. Like Oscar de la Renta, Jean Paul Gaultier,Vera Wang and top models like Coco Rocha, Caroline Trentine,Daria Werbowi and more.

I know I am a little bit late to write this post but I couldn't just let it pass cause was a very important day for me, 6 th of August , the day of my beautiful country. The one that I love and gave me so much. It's been already six months that I am away and I am counting the days to go back on December.

 Because it's a fashion blog I'll talk more about my country in fashion and the tendency and  inspiration that many big designers and photographers had with my culture.

I am so proud of our designers and how fashion it's been developing  thru the years. Fashion magazines runway shows, designers. I might say that we are not far away from what we see in other countries. The "want" it's a must for success and many talents have it all!. 

 Like Erika Suarez Weisse she is a young talent that has her own line of clothes named Weise her creations are a piece of art.  Other designers like Lilliana Castellanos are already an icon in the world of fashion,  with her classic designs and a  modern touch. Super classy and elegant she uses the famous alpaca in most of her designs.

 Talking about magazines: Revista VE and Trendy are my favorite so far. With their eyes on the world of fashion and lifestyle they catch all what's IN right now. The last editorials that I saw, and was part of it shows the  talent of the photographer, the creativity of the stylist, the model, make up artist,etc.
Shows that for good results you need a good and complete team. 

SHOES I LOVE - JEFFERY CAMPBELL !!

The JC shoes with a vintage style and a  runway flair are all over the place now. Some more crazy than others and with a  very authentic style in each pair of shoes. Are the simple reflexion of a man with true passion for design, a passion that is evident in every detail of the JC product.

The most inspiring part for me is to realize how successful a business can be if you are not afraid  to fail and just go for it , trusting your talent . Maybe I am making a  story in my head but I can imagine the struggle this designer had before he released his crazy line of shoes. Now, there are shoes for every taste, more conservative and flat ones, or crazy fun ones with prints studs and weird shapes.

I love JC shoes, cause first of all are super duper comfortable so finally you will not complain in the middle of the night.  Most of them has a  super huge hill with platform so u will last hours dancing and are completly different and authentic, that is my favorite part, you will not find thousand of them.

Since 2000 when he released his first line of shoes inside his garage, with hard work and dedication now is one of the most sought after brands in today's competitive shoe market.

IN FASHION: BRIGHT FLUOR COLORS!

This trend is  definitely taking  a  hike , the Fluor -Neon colors. Not only in Europe and America it's all over the world, and not even just in fashion it's in arts, illustration, interior design, etc.
Like old times in the nineties fashion was about bright colors and short tops... so we are back to those times!!!.
It's such a  fun color for the summer, so avoid the depressing black. I am still trying to do that cause half of my closet is black, so i bought few things in my favourite color for the summer ; the bright orange, well it's not even orange it's like  a bright salmon.
